Our Spiritual BeliefsGod loves us and wants an eternal relationship with us. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 - NIV) Sin, which is disobedience from God, separates us from Him. We were created to have fellowship with God, but because of our stubborn self-will, we chose to go with active rebellion or passive indifference. Sin also leads to spiritual death. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23 - NIV) "The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23 - NIV) God, in His mercy, provides us a way to escape eternal damnation. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinner, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 - NIV) We must confess our sins and receive Christ through faith to experience a new birth. "As many have received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12 - NIV) We believe in the one Triune God : Holy Father, Holy Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Father is the Creator of this universe. The Holy Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day, is now sitting at the Father's right hand to pray for us; and He will be returning again to earth one day. We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Holy Trinity who lives in the hearts of believers teaching us to understand the truth, leading us in our daily life, and helping us in our spiritual growth. We believe that the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books in both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God and is without error; and that it is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
