TCBC HistoryThe Tri-Valley Chinese Bible Church was established in September, 1989. At that time there were in the Chinese for Christ Church of Hayward seventeen families residing in the Tri-Valley area. They saw a growing Chinese population in the Tri-Valley yet without a Chinese church. After much praying and sharing the Gospel needs with pastors and deacons, a vision was sparked among them to start a Saturday Gospel fellowship in March, 1989. The fellowship grew rapidly and it was soon decided to lease a worship hall from the Village Parkway Church to begin our Sunday worship. In October of 1990 when the Deacons Board was formed, the church membership had grown to around one hundred people. God blessed the ministry so much that by the summer of 1992, we were again experiencing space shortage. At the end of 1992, we bought the present site at the price of $950,000 US. In the following year when the church building was under renovation, we held our meetings at the Pleasanton Community Church. We moved to the present site in May, 1994 and since then our congregation has grown from about 150 to more than 330. Praise God that through this ministry, many people have come to experience God's grace and offer of abundant life!
